I don't think anyone said hockey was better than football, and I knowing from arguments in the past, Brian will rip his shirt off and do a war dance if anyone says otherwise. The comparison to soccer is legitimate, but no sport can match hockey for edge of your seat action. Sure, football can have the one big play that is both unpredicatble and exciting, but there is also about 40 seconds in between each play. Hockey is non-stop, you change lines on the fly and if you blink, you missed the goal. It's harder to watch than football because there are enough rules that are odd in comparison to football: icing, offsides, interference. Hell, it's a sport that tries to stifle the opportunity for break aways with it's line rules. But the fact remains, at any second in any time of any game, something amazing could happen, but unlike football, 3 seconds later something amazing could happen again while football is still in the huddle or on commercial break. Oh, and don't argue that the commercial breaks are for the players because they are tired, in the playoffs, there are no commercials during overtime. So after you've played a full game, you don't get a breather.
