A very long time! The Japanese also have it in every arcade, whereas we have very few machines in America. I have yet to get past the initial curve so I'm stuck at 5's and 6's. I also play 1 handed, which has an even tighter curve than if you play 2 handed. This is my 1 handed idol:

My JPS2 is broken too :( Although I never had Guitar Freaks, I can only play friggin US IIDX which blows ass.

looking at beatmania, and how much effort it takes to learn all those songs to the point of mastering them, id rather just learn how to play the piano.

at least with guitar hero, its like, "ok, i can pass this shit on expert, but its still easier than a real guitar"

i look at beatmania and i think, "yo, fuck that, ill just learn a real instrument. piano players get pussy, right? like that fag with that shitty 'bad day song' chicks loved that shit, didnt they?"

The only reason I can play rhythm games at all is because I'm a classically trained pianist lol. Somehow it didn't end up translating that well into Beatmania though :(

I'm going to be putting a few Guitar Hero videos up tonight, probably Hangar 18, Push Push(Lady Lightning), YYZ, Raw Dog, Less Talk More Rokk, Thunderhorse, and Misirlou. These are by no means great runs, but the first runs of each song that I recorded. If you have any non XBOX360 requests let me know.

It's not too hard if you play 2 handed and set it up off of the arrow pad. I however chose to play on the arrows with just my right hand, making the game obnoxious. It also helps if you've played the charts before with a dance pad honestly, because for some reason most people's legs move faster lol.
