Whats your main web browser?
The main web browser software you use for yourself (not at work).
IE has gotten soooo shitty lately. I honestly love the download prompt Firefox gives you if stuff tries to force on to your computer. Firefox is awesome.
whats Opera?
Ive switched to Firefox on both my Mac and PC usage. The only thing a little irritating about Firefox is the downloading screen (Safaris is way better, IEs is WAY worse).
Everything else tho, I feel its a superior web-browsing system. I've never heard of Opera, might have to check that out. |
Opera is actually pretty nice, i haven't used it much, but i have IE, Firefox, and that all on my computer, i've been thinking about using Opera more and giving it an honest try, but yeah, Firefox is definately an awesome browser.
i use opera mainly. also some firefox and IE. firefox for bittorrent files because opera always wants to use it's own torrent downloader. but i browse with opera.
?Torrent... It's all I can think about for torrents. I remember Opera from the days IE was simply unnusable (versions 4 and under). You would signup for internet and they'd give you a floppy disk with Netscape Navigator.
So...this mean I can start bringing up issues the site has in firefox? :D

Yeah I saw that one too, but since its an officer-only thing, officers will have to use something other than Firefox to press those buttons. Or unless someone here knows how to make a "<IMG" tag call a Javascript function in Firefox, or an alternative to it that allows for an image to call a function "onclick". Anyone who wants the source code, its an XML file with PHP + HTML + Javascript embedded.
EDIT: This is the code for each of these buttons. <IMG border="2" src="http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/calendar/images/onx.gif" onClick="SetForONY()" onmouseover="this.style.cursor='hand'"> |
try adding an href="javascript" in the code somewhere before the onclick
I dont get it. Can you post the full code?
Ignore my previous post, I was barking up the wrong tree. After looking at the code more closely, here goes.
First things first, cursor type should be 'pointer', not 'hand'. Hand only works in IE, pointer works in both. Also, in all the SetFor functions, toss in return false; after the 3 lines of function code, ie function SetForONY() { document.all.title.value='ONYXIA'; document.all.useroll.checked=''; document.all.message.value=' Onyxia\nMidnight.\n\nNo signups. Be there and ask for an invite.\n\n'; return false; } There may also be issues with the document.all commands, but we'll cross that bridge when we get there. Seem to recall document.all being some IE4 and on specific thing, think the proper way is document.GetElementsByName or some such, ill look it up if I need to. We'll get you turned into a cross browser programmer in no time! And i know theres a way to turn off the html in my post, but i cant remember it, so the function code is gonna look wierd :P |
The "pointer" instead of "hand" definitelly worked. But the "return false" made no visible effect. Still can't click the icons. The "document.all" could be an IE only thing.
