I got laid off too and was unemployed for about 3 months, but during that time all I did was track monster and look for jobs, and State of MA Unemployment Assistance was so far backed up i didn't get a check until the week before I was starting my new (current) job. Don't worry, things will pick back up again, but you need to be proactive about the change, and not sit on your ass! Do it to it, man. You'll be on your feet in no time!

as far as jobs go there is a 1 -21 rule. for every 21 applications on average you get 1 positive response. This means keep chugging.
